I am with you,” declares the LORD.

Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.
~ Isaiah 55:6-7
I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

“Judah’s sin is engraved with an iron tool, inscribed with a flint point, on the tablets of their hearts and on the horns of their altars. Even their children remember their altars and Asherah poles beside the spreading trees and on the high hills. My mountain in the land and your wealth and all your treasures I will give away as plunder, together with your high places, because of sin throughout your country. Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you. I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever.” Continue reading
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
~ Psalm 46:1-3
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge. Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Am I enough? This is a question that I think everyone has asked at some point in his or her life.
Am I good enough? Am I smart enough? Am I doing enough?
As a Christian, I find myself struggling with these thoughts even more. When I stand before God, will He say, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” or “Get away from me, you evildoer, I never knew you”?

Her posts are genuine and inspirational, and I admire her so much for the manner in which she approaches the topic of Jesus and our relationships with Him. Recently she published “God’s Stitches“, and her post inspired me to write a rather lengthy comment, which in turn prompted this post today. Continue reading
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

As Spring brings forth the promise of new life, so January 1st sets the stage for new hopes, dreams, promises and beginnings. A new year is a time for letting go of the trials and tribulations of yesterday and focusing on where you want to be tomorrow.
To all of my friends and followers, may the Lord bless you in 2017. When life seems too much to bear, remember the verses below. With God, all things are possible. And if you put your trust in Jesus, He’ll never leave you.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
~ Isaiah 7:14
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
